Christmas Assistance Program

Christmas is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus, and the gift of love and purpose he offers us. The Bible says Jesus is “the hope of all the world” (Matthew 12:21) because he offers us peace, wholeness, unconditional love and meaning for our lives.
Although Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration and joy, if finances are tight, it can be challenging, stressful and isolating. Whatever challenges you have faced this year, The Salvation Army believes there is still a reason to hope, and we are here to help alleviate this stress for families and seniors struggling financially.

The Salvation Army London Christmas Assistance Program Overview:
- Our priority is to support London Ontario and area families with children aged 0-12 who receive Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and seniors (55+) on a fixed income.
- Any applicant applying for toys who is not on OW/ODSP or living within a fixed income will be required to meet with a member of our team to determine if you qualify for our program (further information provided in “Confirmation of Income” page).
- Toys/gifts are provided for children aged 0-12.
- A grocery store gift card based on the size of your household will be provided to help with the costs of your Christmas celebration.
- Our online application will be open November 3 – November 30 (or until all appointments are booked).
- Appointments to pick up your gift card and/or toys will be made at the time you apply – please be sure you don’t miss this step. Pick-up appointments will take place on December 12th and 15th – 19th at the J-AAR Expo Centre at the Western Fair District (845 Florence Street, London ON) (formerly called the Agriplex).
- If you are unable to use our online application form, support is available by many other local agencies, or, after November 3:
